Integrative  medicine  is a holistic medical discipline which takes into account the lifestyle habits  of a patient.The whole person is treated  rather than  just the disease.The mind, body and soul of a patient are taken into consideration.This support consider  their physical,emotional, social,mental and spiritual wellbeing      It is a combination of modern healthcare practices to diagnose and treat  a patient .


Treatments may include ( after discussing with patient about advantage and disadvantage) such modalities as shown on the side.

This unit is started   as Sr Dr Bertha  joined here as Physician in June 1988. After her special B.Sc in Chemistry from U C College Aluva,she was sent to Muenster (Germany) for medical studies(6 yrs: 1973-79) After her basic course (MD) she started Specialization  in Internal Medicine ( 6 yrs  : 1979-85).During  the long time practice she made up the plan to start integrated medical unit in Kerala. For that she studied the other modalities and returned to Kerala.She worked In MCH –Kottayam for 1 year and then in St Johns MCH Banglore and in Santo Hosp.Achinakom.

At that time according to her plan ICU,CCU,Naturopathy and other set up made ready here and she joined here. She started USG,Echo,Doppler,Exercise ECG and all other therapies as mentioned on side including HOT  and Physiotherapy.HRT & BWT  started in 1998.Deaddiction therapy   and Psychiatry started in 2001. In the year  2002   Ayurveda     started here.
 

During the stay in Naturopathy section ,stress management,Psychological counselling, Spiritual counselling  and pastoral care if needed  are available.

Later on started deaddiction,palliative care unit etc
